GEP- Attitudinal Transformation and Women Empowerment through Interactive Theatre- 2004

The program, which took place in 5 cities, aimed to “break the culture of silence” and initiate dialogue among the actors and the audience as well as provide an opportunity to the people to speak on their issues using the technique of interactive theatre along with parallel techniques like cable networks. The program ran for 7 months and at the end of the year a final evaluation of the program was conducted. The IRC worked with local stories and voices to devise theatre and performing theatre in ways that reach out to an audience beyond the local.

Two interactive training workshops took place over 7 months that resulted in 8 performances that were recorded and broadcasted via cable network. The original scripts were translated bilingually and published.
