Creation of a Critical Mass By Engaging Youth Opinion Leaders in Digital Literacy and Cross Cultural Understanding- US Embassy- 2020
The purpose of this project was to create a critical mass through an 8 day intensive camp with 50 Youth Opinion Leaders from across Pakistan by sensitizing them towards digital literacy and various technical online tools, to promote the themes of gender equality, interfaith harmony, peaceful coexistence and digital security. Two digital campaigns were selected for a four month advocacy project: Digital Haq (DH) and Connect Pakistan (CP). Digital Haq developed an application on digital security and rights in Pakistan, and Connect Pakistan was a digital campaign aimed to promote communication, dialogue and cooperation between different faiths and religious groups in Pakistan. CP ran a social media campaign and developed a website, which included short films, podcasts, and blogs on the themes of challenging norms, peace and tolerance and a series of short films showcasing interfaith harmony. The work of Digital Haq was also featured in the Lincoln Corner session organized by the US embassy.
